IPPC Licensing
Environmental Impact Statements, Integrated Pollution Control licensing (IPPC )and water pollution discharge licensing are all increasingly relevant to new developments and to both new and established businesses. Safecon have experience with EIS co-ordination, particularly for small scale, lower budget Impact Statements.
We support a client through all stages of the Licence application, from initiating contact with the EPA, through to project scoping, baseline studies, impact assessment, and determining of emission rates.
Safecon have also prepared many AER, Bund Integrity, Firewater Risk Assessment and other IPPC and Waste Licence compliance documentation.
Clients are guided through the process of applying for:
- Waste permits
- Waste collection permits
- Air emission licences
- Discharge licences
The team can carry out any investigations, produce the necessary maps, liaise with the local authority and complete any other studies required (eg hydrogeological investigations, assimilative capacity studies, etc.).
We assist in achieving compliance with permit conditions, often through monitoring of emissions and providing consultancy advice on target investment for any required upgrades.
All relevant documentation is submitted by Safecon on behalf of a client to the EPA.
