The Safecon Group was founded in 2001.
The company traded initially under its company name, Aogas Industries Ltd and was in fact a software company. A successful range of products such as Behavioural Safety Culture Software, training tracking & Incident tracker were developed and sold to a wide variety of pharmaceutical, construction and government bodies.
With the growth in the Irish company between 2000- 2007, Aogas Industries Ltd customers began to require complete health and safety solutions from us. This lead to a range of health and safety training courses and consultancy services being offered to our existing cliental base. Aogas Industries Ltd, offered all our services from 2004 onwards under the trading name, Safecon.
A sustained period of growth ensured, which lead Safecon to be the fifth largest provider ( by turnover) of health and safety services in Ireland by 2006. It was enviable that Safecon would then enhance their services by offering quality & environmental services soon after.
In January 2010, Safecon restructured their business model. Aogas Industries Ltd is now trading as Safecon Safepass. All other EQHS services were purchased by Vision Business Systems Ltd, trading as Intellego, who saw the services that Safecon offer as a perfect addition to their company. All purchased services are now trading as Safecon Training & Consultancy.
Dermot Foley CMIOSH has been retained by the buyers as Managing Director Safecon Training & Consultancy. He has a wealth of experience in Health, Safety Environmental and Quality Consultancy and Training. All Consultants within Safecon are IOSH accredited and the senior Consultants are Chartered Members of IOSH.
Speaking when taking up his new position with Vision Business Systems, Dermot outlined the objective for 2012. “No matter what your company needs, whether it is a Health & Safety Competent Person, Environmental, Quality, CHAS, ISO Systems or Training, our Professionals will guarantee a first class service at a competitive price with ongoing back up across the UK and Eire.
If we cannot meet your expectations and your budgetary requirements we would rather walk away rather than put you or our reputation at risk”.
