Occupational First Aid Course Details:

Occupational First Aid deals with the types of injuries that would be likely to occur at your workplace. Courses are designed to train employees in the correct response to any workplace emergency. Our Occupational First Aid Certificates comply with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Applications) Regulations 2007 (SI No. 299/2007)) and certification is valid for 3 years.

Occupational First Aid Course Objective:

To increase the awareness of possible accidents

To identify an accident that requires first aid treatment

To apply first aid techniques

To optimise performance and health in the workplace

Occupational First Aid Course Programme:

Lesson 1: Assessment, Accident Scene Management 

Lesson 2: Circulation, Wounds and Bleeding 

Lesson 3: Respiration, Asphyxia 

Lesson 4: C.P.R. 

Lesson 5: Unconsciousness 

Lesson 6: Fractures, Sprains, Strains and Dislocations 

Lesson 7: Burns and Scalds, Chemical / Poisons, Electric Shock 

Lesson 8: Medical Emergencies, Crush and Spinal Injuries 

Who Should Attend the Occupational First Aid Course:

Any interested party interested in obtaining a nationally recognised ‘First Aid Responder’ qualification .

None

Occupational First Aid Course Assessment / Certification

On completion of the course, attendees' knowledge and skills will be examined by an examiner registered with the National Ambulance Training School. If successful, attendees will receive a FETAC Occupational First Aid Certificate.
