Contractor Safety Management Course Details:
Contractor Safety Management - There is increasing reliance in today’s workplaces on
contractors to provide services such as building and equipment maintenance but
the legal duty of care under the Safety and Health at Work Act 2005 towards
such contractors is the same as that for an employee.
This course is designed to provide persons involved in the
management of contractors with the skills necessary to implement and manage
those contractors in accordance with the requirements of prevailing Health and
Safety legislation.
Contractor Safety Management Course Objective:
By the end of this session it is expected that participants
will be able to explain and/or put into practice:
- The duty of care considerations in contractor management
- The social and business implications of serious workplace
incidents
- The legislative framework and expectations governing an
employers duty as it relates to non-employees
